As can be seen above, once logged into Betdaq we can easily access and make use of the dedicated horse racing homepage via the quick links on the left side menu, this page helps us navigate all of the big race meetings for the current day as well as filter by both country and racetrack to get to the race we want. Racing for the following day plus any big ante-post meetings are also available for betting and can be accessed via the dedicated horse racing menu which will also show on the left side of the page whilst in this horse racing section.
Once on any individual horse racing exchange page, in this case the 15:27 at Sligo, we can see all of the selections available to back and lay plus all of the various different markets readily available via tabs at the top of the page (so, we can easily access the each way and additional places markets should this be required).
Moving onto the runners themselves and, alongside being able to back and lay from this page directly, we can also access other stats including jockey, trainer, weight and starting stall information alongside form and stats for the horse in question by simply hovering over the runners name on the exchange page (as can be seen below):
Further adding to the horse racing offering at Betdaq is the live video service which provides live streaming coverage of many mainstream race meetings from both the UK, Ireland plus other selected events worldwide, this service requires only a single bet of £1+ in order to be eligible to watch.
Further enhancing the live video service is the “Racing Replays” service which allows recently run races for a specified venue or runner to be watched from the racing pages prior to any race taking place. Better still, this “Racing Replays”' service is completely free to use and does not require a bet be placed beforehand as is required to watch the live racing!
Altogether, a solid offering from Betdaq and still one of the best exchanges for horse racing coverage!
Football / Soccer
Football is another popular sport at Betdaq and one in which we see good coverage of both domestic and international leagues, this includes full coverage of the Irish Premier Division, the top English leagues, the Scottish Premiership and international favourites such as the Serie A and Bundesliga.
The main ‘soccer’ homepage shows all currently in-play games as well as popular upcoming games from the larger leagues, finding a specific game from a certain country or league can be done easily thanks to the left side menu which lists all countries and then, after clicking on any country, the leagues within.
Moving on to look at any individual football fixture, in this case Sligo Rovers vs Finn Harps in the Irish Premier Division and we see the following exchange page:
Betdaq also provides a built-in stats page for many popular leagues meaning we can easily see recent results, head-to-head, average goals plus many more football stats whilst betting at Betdaq!
Sadly, with the lack of football live streaming and issues with low liquidity and market depth on some smaller leagues, it is fair to say Betdaq do not yet match market leaders Betfair on football betting. They do, however, provide a solid football betting offering on the larger leagues backed up by the ability to place ACCAs, make use of in-play betting and the ability cash-out single and accumulator bets to boot!
Politics
Endless uncertainty in the political world has helped fuel the massive growth of political betting of late, just look at some of the many unexpected events of recent years including Donald Trump becoming the 45th US President and Brexit happening in the UK and it's not hard to see why!
Whilst Betdaq do offer their exchange betting expertise to the betting world, it is, sadly, one aspect of the site which appears to be very under utilised, for example, at time of writing here is a screenshot of the US President 2024 market at Betdaq:
As is clear form the above image, with no money matched and virtually nothing to bet against this is essentially a dead market. Comparing this to Betfair at the same time and we see the following:
Clearly, Betdaq are falling a long way behind Betfair in this example who have already seen a lot of money matched on this same market alongside some very good market depth available for all of the favourite runners.
Whilst this could be seen as a poor offering so far, there are two important things to bear in mind. Firstly, most markets get much busier in the last few hours running up to the event (the US Presidential election is still approximately 3 years away) and secondly, Betdaq are 0% commission for all political markets (versus 2%+ at Betfair) meaning Betdaq should still be kept in mind here!
Golf
Golf is another popular sport and one which sees good coverage across the many popular tours at Betdaq, this includes the PGA Tour, the European Tour and the Asian Tour amongst others.
The main golf homepage (as can be seen above) makes accessing the main golf tournaments, both upcoming and those already in-play, really easy as it does the many special tournaments throughout the year including the Ryder Cup and the World Matchplay Championships.
When looking at any given golf tournament we do, as usual, have the ability to back or lay any player across many popular golf markets including:

Multiples and ACCAs at Betdaq
One of the main reasons for staying with a traditional bookie of recent years has been the availability of multiples and accumulator betting. This is something that even today many bookies continue to refine with the adoption of modern “bet builder” systems allowing virtually any multiples bet to be built and accepted!
Whilst exchanges traditionally have fallen behind in multiples betting, this is one area that Betdaq does at least seem to be taking seriously and, thanks to their built-in sportsbook, do have a reasonable multiple betting offering available.
As can be seen above, whenever adding 2 or more selections to the betslip at Betdaq we get given the option to place an accumulator bet (see below the betslip). In this example above we see a treble made up of Huddersfield, Sheffield United and Fulham at combined odds of 6.01 (which are provided by the Betdaq sportsbook as opposed to the prices available on the exchange).
Whilst we don't have the ability to lay any multiples bets at Betdaq (like competitor Smarkets currently allow), we do have the benefit of being able to cash-out of the bet both before the events start and even whilst any events are in play (although this cash-out is operated by the sportsbook so there is no guarantee how long into any particular game it will remain active).
Comparing Betdaq Multiples with Other Exchanges
In order to see the value of the Betdaq multiples betting service it would be prudent to compare it with the offering of another leading exchange, in this case, I will compare the Huddersfield, Sheffield United and Fulham accumulator with betting exchange leaders, Betfair!
As can be seen in the image above, when placing the same accumulator bet at Betfair we actually get slightly lower odds of 5.89 (versus 6.01 at Betdaq). With odds aside these two providers have little else to separate them on multiples given that they both allow cashing out early, neither allow laying of the multiple and both make use of their own built-in sportsbook platforms to derive the final payout odds for the bet.
Moving on to another leading exchange, Smarkets, and we see the same accumulator bet of Huddersfield, Sheffield United and Fulham built up like so:
With odds of 6.0 at Smarkets they are very much in line with the offering at Betdaq in terms of value. Betdaq do, however, go over and above Smarkets in allowing the cashing-out of multiples bets (something Smarkets don't yet allow), yet on the other hand, Smarkets do allow their multiples bets to be both backed and laid (and are the only main exchange to allow this so far).
Whilst it is clear that Betdaq offers good value on their multiples bets against other leading exchanges, it should be remembered that the multiples are actually part of the sportsbook so limitations on bet sizes and availability of the cash-out feature might still be restricted in some cases!
Live Streaming and Stats
Betdaq are notable for their strong live coverage of both horse and greyhound racing from many popular meetings across the UK and Ireland as well as from selected meetings further afield.
When live streaming is available for a given race you will see a purple “Live Video” button atop the exchange betting page indicating so, in this case a single bet of just £1+ is all that is needed to enjoy the live streaming content. When available, this live streaming service includes access to the live race itself, expert commentary, race simulations plus comprehensive form and stats information for the runners within.
As was mentioned earlier on in this review, this live streaming offering is also backed up by the “Racing Replays” service, a service which allows exchange users to watch historic horse races for certain venues and runners for free!

Whilst football doesn't enjoy any live streaming coverage as of yet (unlike rivals Betfair who have a strong football live streaming offering), Betdaq do still provide some good live stats and commentary for many mainstream football fixtures via a live stats service on the exchange itself.
As can be seen above, this “live stats box” can be found on any eligible exchange betting page and will show, in real-time, what is happening on the pitch via text commentary alongside other important stats including the scoreline, the number of cards, corners, shots on goal plus several other key football stats.
Betdaq App & Website
Having a user-friendly website is a key part of delivering a great betting experience to customers, this is something Betdaq have clearly worked hard on and has resulted in the Betdaq website and smartphone apps we see today.
Navigation is streamlined via the left side menus which make finding any event via its country of origin or the category of sport both quick and easy. Backing up this navigation system are numerous homepages for each individual sport which show many of the popular upcoming and in-play fixtures for the sport in question on any given day.
All in all, a clean, easy to navigate and functional design across both the desktop and smartphone apps, a great job from Betdaq!
Betdaq Casino and Games
Backing up the strong exchange betting offering at Betdaq is a fully stocked casino and games section featuring many favourites including Roulette and Blackjack plus many slots games from top franchises including Megaways, Starburst, Britain's Got Talent and Rainbow Riches.
Unfortunately, at time of writing, Betdaq do not have any live casino offering and whilst it is clear that exchange betting is their priority, this casino offering still makes for a nice addition to the Betdaq service.
